Fabric Tissue Pouch Tutorial...

So I found these on Pinterest and loved them so much I made a tutorial!

First you need to chose your fabrics. One for the lining and one for the outside. So that I can quickly make lots of these I also made a 6" X 7" template/pattern.

Cut one rectangle out of each fabric...

Sew all the way round leaving a gap on one of the 6" sides (remember to backstitch these)

Snip off the corners...

Turn the right way and use scissors to push the corners out...

Press with an iron so that you get a nice smooth finish once its all stitched together.

Top stitch the 6" side where the turning gap is and then the other 6" side to match!

Now chose which fabric you want to be on the outside and which will be the lining...

Fold the two top stitched sides to the centre. The fabric you chose for your lining should be facing you...

Top stitch each end (not the sides you have already top stitched)

Turn out the right way and your done! These Would be cute as an inexpensive gift or like this one great in my bag! It took me literally minutes to make and I am now using all my scraps to make lots more!

Found this picture on google. There are so many more things you could add to them like buttons or embellishments or even a key ring loop! Enjoy!

Fabric bow tutorial...

I have had lots of lovely comments about the bows I made with my crafty creatives 'm' cabochons both on my blog and Instagram. Lots of you have asked how to make them and would like a tutorial. This is the tutorial I followed, it is very simple and has great pictures as well. Thank you all for your lovely comments and I hope the tutorial from Lula Louise helps... Word of warning... It's addictive!

First CCbox12 makes...

As per usual I delved straight into my Crafty Creatives box as soon as the children were in bed! Here are my first makes! Hope you like them as much as I do!

How cute are the 'M' cabochons! I am going to make more using the other colours too!

I love the combination of the ribbon with the ice cream buttons! The colours look great together and this will look cute in my daughters hair!

Right... Off to make some more!

• Craft papers - As a card maker I always look forward to the papers and these are lush! AND DOUBLE SIDED! What's not to love!

My favourite sweets as a child (and now if I could find them!) where the little flat lollies you got in the 'booty bags' what was yours?

The Holiday to North Wales...

So, in half term we went on holiday to north Wales! I love Wales and one day would love to call it home! Here are a few of the places we visited...

The beautiful Aber Falls. Last time we visited this amazing place we had no children and it was about ten years ago on our first holiday together! But it hasn't changed a bit! Still as beautiful as I remembered, only this time we got to share it with our own beauty... Our children!

This is Bodnant Gardens. If you ever visit north Wales i thoroughly advise visiting this perfect example of a national trust property. We even became national trust members we loved it so much!

We stayed on a caravan park in the week and then travelled to my sister-in-laws home to visit for the weekend. On the way we visited Erddig (another beautiful national trust property)

Saturday we visited Chester Zoo with the children's cousins and I have to say its probably the best zoo we have been to. They had baby elephants, eight week old baby giraffes and hundreds of other animals too!

We visited a lot of other places too and it was perfect! Although now we need another holiday to recover!

Get Stamping magazine review...

Whilst browsing the craft magazines in my local WHSmiths (and realising I have way too many subscriptions!) I came across a new magazine. Get Stamping is the newest magazine published by practical publishing (www.practicalpublishing.co.uk) I am a huge lover of stamping and already have a massive collection but as any stamper knows you can never have enough! And that is exactly what drew me in to Get Stamping. Each issue comes with a free stamp set worth over £10! The magazine is filled with lots of projects and ideas of how to use your free stamps including cardmaking, scrapbooking, art journaling and more!

Editor Stephanie de Geus and her team have created a fantastic range of projects that cover all occasions and have made one of the best crafts magazines I have found to date. (And I have read a LOT of craft magazines! So that is quite a compliment!)

Issue one came with this stamp set AND the acrylic block and ink. (Amazing value as the magazine only cost £7.99, totally worth it!)

Not only is the magazine full of great projects but also hints and tips of how to look after your stamps, how to chose inks and tools, and guides to techniques that help take your cards from beginner to intermediate to advanced level. It also has new on latest products, websites, stockists and events.

What I really love about the magazine is all the projects included in the magazine use one or more of the stamps free with the magazine. This is a great way of building your skills as a stamper/crafter and shows how versatile just one stamp set can be!

Here is the first project that I have made using my free stamp set...

The ink was lovely to use, often free ink pads can be dry and hard to stamp with, this one however was a joy to use and an excellent quality of ink.

The stamps print perfectly clear with even ink coverage and no cracks or uneven lines.

My variation on the project in the magazine. This was so quick to make as the stamps did all the work for me. It only took me ten minutes to make the completed card (and envelope which I stamped with the moustache) I love the finished result!

Issue two of Get Stamping is out now! And I shall be picking up my copy in the morning! X

Pretty nails with Crafty Creatives...

I am loving this trend of nail beads! There are so many different ones about. But this months crafty creatives box 11 (and last months CCbox10) had some glitter beads inside so I thought I would have a go with those! Here is the result!

I went for a subtle sophisticated look but you could try them out like these I found...

So give it a go! And have fun! X
